How To Get Involved
WHICH PLAYERS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Whether a player is in the Baseball Hall of Fame or is the backup catcher who only had three at-bats last year, all that matters is that they were born or grew up in the Dominican Republic. While we’d love to give away some superstar cards, this is a great opportunity to share any cards with kids who will truly value them.
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH PLAYERS ARE FROM THE DR?
The quickest way is to check the back of a card, which typically includes a player’s current home, birthplace, or both.
Since not all cards include biographical information, here is a comprehensive list of nearly every Dominican ballplayer. The talent on this list will astound you, especially given that the population of the Dominican Republic is only about 11 million people, which is roughly 30 times smaller than the U.S.
1. Donate cards of players born in the DR
WHY PROTECTIVE SLEEVES?
We use protective card sleeves to help preserve the quality of the baseball cards. Since the cards can easily get damaged, the sleeves ensure they stay in great condition and last as long as possible.
Please only send semi-rigid, standard-size sleeves — see here for an example. These sleeves fit the cards tightly, ensuring long-lasting protection.
2. Donate protective card sleeves

WHY FINANCIAL SUPPORT?
Financial donations cover many essential parts of our operations, including the costs of shipping baseball cards to the Dominican Republic and purchasing protective sleeves for the cards (if they are not donated). Cards4DR is a volunteer-run organization, so 100% of financial donations go directly to supporting our mission.
If you are interested in making a financial donation, please go to give.cornerstone.cc/jewishsportsnetwork and enter “Cards4DR” in the Referral Code section. All donations made here are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, thanks to Cards4DR’s partnership with the Jewish Sports Network and the Players Philanthropy Fund.
